Analysis: The Falcons took advantage of an early fumble by Ajayi and turned it into a 3-0 lead with 9:08 remaining in the first quarter. He also dropped a pass on a 74-yard, 12-play drive that led to a field goal and made it 12-10 late in the third.
|Jan. 9, 2018 10:48 AM PT11:48 AM MT12:48 PM CT1:48 PM ET18:48 GMT2:48 11:48 AM MST1:48 PM EST12:48 PM CT22:48 UAE13:48 ETNaN: - Ajayi (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
Analysis: Ajayi was held out of the regular-season finale, but with nothing on the line for the Eagles, it didn't make any sense for them to risk injury by playing their starters.
|Dec. 31, 2017 8:16 AM PT9:16 AM MT10:16 AM CT11:16 AM ET16:16 GMT0:16 9:16 AM MST11:16 AM EST10:16 AM CT20:16 UAE11:16 ETNaN: - Ajayi was inactive for Sunday's finale against the Cowboys.
Analysis: There is little reason for the Eagles to play any starters in the season finale, as they've already clinched the top seed.
|Dec. 25, 2017 8:41 PM PT9:41 PM MT10:41 PM CT11:41 PM ET4:41 GMT12:41 9:41 PM MST11:41 PM EST10:41 PM CT8:41 UAE23:41 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 52 yards on 14 carries Monday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 19-10 win over the Oakland Raiders. He added two receptions for 21 yards and one touchdown, and fumbled once.
Analysis: Ajayi ended a five-game drought without a touchdown with his 17-yard catch on a screen play in the first quarter and received at least 14 touches for a third consecutive week. The midseason addition has finally established himself as Philadelphia's No. 1 back and figures to play a prominent role during the team's playoff drive.
|Dec. 17, 2017 5:24 PM PT6:24 PM MT7:24 PM CT8:24 PM ET1:24 GMT9:24 6:24 PM MST8:24 PM EST7:24 PM CT5:24 UAE (+1)20:24 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 49 yards on 12 carries Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 34-29 win over the New York Giants. He added two receptions for 40 yards.
Analysis: Ajayi registered at least 80 yards from scrimmage for a second straight week and is starting to separate himself slightly from the Eagles' frustrating backfield committee. The midseason acquisition remains a low-end starting possibility for fantasy purposes, though, in part because he's still stuck on one touchdown for the season.
|Dec. 10, 2017 6:58 PM PT7:58 PM MT8:58 PM CT9:58 PM ET2:58 GMT10:58 7:58 PM MST9:58 PM EST8:58 PM CT6:58 UAE (+1)21:58 ETNaN: - Ajayi ran for 78 yards on 15 carries Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 43-35 win over the Los Angeles Rams. He added one reception for two yards.
Analysis: If you are in the middle of the fantasy playoffs and have Ajayi, it's still hard to trust him. However, with Carson Wentz hurt, the club could rely on the run game a little more so he may have more upside.
|Dec. 3, 2017 8:25 PM PT9:25 PM MT10:25 PM CT11:25 PM ET4:25 GMT12:25 9:25 PM MST11:25 PM EST10:25 PM CT8:25 UAE23:25 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 35 yards on nine carries Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 24-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He added three receptions for 11 yards.
Analysis: The 12 touches were Ajayi's most since joining the Eagles, which is about the only positive to take from this stat line. The former Dolphin's fantasy profile has taken a hit since his trade to Philly, as he's averaged just 57.3 rushing yards with only one touchdown in four games as an Eagle.
|Nov. 26, 2017 1:13 PM PT2:13 PM MT3:13 PM CT4:13 PM ET21:13 GMT5:13 2:13 PM MST4:13 PM EST3:13 PM CT1:13 UAE (+1)16:13 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 26 yards on five carries Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 31-3 win over the Chicago Bears. He added one reception for seven yards.
Analysis: Ajayi is nothing more than a flex play in fantasy at the moment with the playoffs just around the corner.
|Nov. 19, 2017 8:22 PM PT9:22 PM MT10:22 PM CT11:22 PM ET4:22 GMT12:22 9:22 PM MST11:22 PM EST10:22 PM CT8:22 UAE23:22 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 91 yards on seven carries Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 37-9 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He added one reception for 10 yards.
Analysis: Ajayi continues to split time in the backfield with LeGarrette Blount and Corey Clement. He picked up 71 of 91 yards on one carry and had a season-low seven rushes. Ajayi's workload should increase as he becomes more familiar in Philadelphia's system.
|Nov. 5, 2017 8:42 AM PT9:42 AM MT10:42 AM CT11:42 AM ET16:42 GMT0:42 9:42 AM MST11:42 AM EST10:42 AM CT20:42 UAE11:42 ETNaN: - Ajayi is expected to get limited action in his Eagles debut on Sunday.
Analysis: We suggest going in another direction until Ajayi has a clear role with the Eagles.
|Nov. 5, 2017 1:22 PM PT2:22 PM MT3:22 PM CT4:22 PM ET21:22 GMT5:22 2:22 PM MST4:22 PM EST3:22 PM CT1:22 UAE (+1)16:22 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 77 yards and one touchdown on eight carries Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles' 51-23 win over the Denver Broncos.
Analysis: Ajayi had a better performance in his Eagles debut than arguably any of his Miami efforts. It appears that he's going to have a solid role with Philadelphia and can be used in all formats.
|Oct. 31, 2017 5:47 AM PT6:47 AM MT7:47 AM CT8:47 AM ET12:47 GMT20:47 5:47 AM MST7:47 AM EST6:47 AM CT16:47 UAE8:47 ETNaN: - Ajayi has been traded by Miami to the Eagles for a fourth-round pick.
Analysis: The Eagles have announced that LeGarrette Blount remains the team's starting running back, though it would seem Ajayi - a Pro Bowler last season - would cut into his carries and soon take over the bulk of them. Plus, Ajayi could be used on passing downs whereas Blount rarely is.
|Oct. 26, 2017 8:27 PM PT9:27 PM MT10:27 PM CT11:27 PM ET3:27 GMT11:27 8:27 PM MST10:27 PM EST10:27 PM CT7:27 UAE (+1)23:27 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 23 yards on 13 carries Thursday in the Miami Dolphins' 40-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He added four receptions for 18 yards.
Analysis: Like his entire team, Ajayi did basically nothing in the loss. He actually had a 21-yard run on his first carry of the game, and managed just two yards the rest of the game. A dismal game from Matt Moore surely didn't help Ajayi as Miami had no balance in its offense, making it easier for Baltimore's defense. Ajayi has totaled just 74 yards on 33 carries in his last two games and he can't be counted on for much production right now.
|Oct. 23, 2017 12:15 PM PT1:15 PM MT2:15 PM CT3:15 PM ET19:15 GMT3:15 12:15 PM MST2:15 PM EST2:15 PM CT23:15 UAE15:15 ETNaN: - Ajayi was limited in practice on Monday due to ongoing knee and elbow issues.
Analysis: Ajayi has been a bit of a disappointment so far, but we don't believe he's in jeopardy of sitting Week 8.
|Oct. 22, 2017 1:52 PM PT2:52 PM MT3:52 PM CT4:52 PM ET20:52 GMT4:52 1:52 PM MST3:52 PM EST3:52 PM CT0:52 UAE (+1)16:52 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 51 yards on 23 carries Sunday in the Miami Dolphins' 31-28 win over the New York Jets. He added three receptions for 26 yards.
Analysis: Ajayi wasn't able to build on his 130-yard performance last week. He's been a huge fantasy disappointment after most owners took him somewhere in the second or third rounds.
|Oct. 15, 2017 2:40 PM PT3:40 PM MT4:40 PM CT5:40 PM ET21:40 GMT5:40 2:40 PM MST4:40 PM EST4:40 PM CT1:40 UAE (+1)17:40 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 130 yards on 26 carries Sunday in the Miami Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Analysis: Ajayi had a huge game after rushing for 139 yards with an average of 2.9 per carry without a TD in his previous three games combined. The Dolphins host the Jets next week, and against New York in Week 3, Ajayi ran for a grand total of 16 yards on 11 attempts.
|Oct. 8, 2017 1:31 PM PT2:31 PM MT3:31 PM CT4:31 PM ET20:31 GMT4:31 1:31 PM MST3:31 PM EST3:31 PM CT0:31 UAE (+1)16:31 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 77 yards on 25 carries Sunday in the Miami Dolphins' 16-10 win over the Tennessee Titans. He added two receptions for two yards and fumbled once.
Analysis: Ajayi has 139 rushing yards in three weeks since gaining 122 in the opener.
|Oct. 1, 2017 9:32 AM PT10:32 AM MT11:32 AM CT12:32 PM ET16:32 GMT0:32 9:32 AM MST11:32 AM EST11:32 AM CT20:32 UAE12:32 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 46 yards on 12 carries Sunday in the Miami Dolphins' 20-0 loss to the New Orleans Saints. He added one reception for eight yards.
Analysis: Ajayi was hardly a factor, mostly because the Dolphins hardly had a the ball. Their offense is a mess at the moment, so Ajayi's fantasy worthiness is a bit suspect.
|Sep. 27, 2017 10:06 AM PT11:06 AM MT12:06 PM CT1:06 PM ET17:06 GMT1:06 10:06 AM MST12:06 PM EST12:06 PM CT21:06 UAE13:06 ETNaN: - Ajayi (knee) did not practice Wednesday, but coach Adam Gase said he will play Sunday against the Saints.
Analysis: Ajayi also missed most of practice last week to rest his balky knee, and it is believed the same is happening this week just as a precaution. However, the fact that he is having to miss so much practice time and ran for just 16 yards last week has to be concerning to his fantasy owners.
|Sep. 24, 2017 12:55 PM PT1:55 PM MT2:55 PM CT3:55 PM ET19:55 GMT3:55 12:55 PM MST2:55 PM EST2:55 PM CT23:55 UAE15:55 ETNaN: - Ajayi ran for 16 yards on 11 carries Sunday in the Miami Dolphins' 20-6 loss to the New York Jets. He added two receptions for nine yards.
Analysis: A major step back after rushing for 122 in their season opener.
|Sep. 20, 2017 3:42 PM PT4:42 PM MT5:42 PM CT6:42 PM ET22:42 GMT6:42 3:42 PM MST5:42 PM EST5:42 PM CT2:42 UAE (+1)18:42 ETNaN: - Ajayi returned to practice Friday after missing the previous two days due to a lingering knee issue, but coach Adam Gase has previously said it's nothing serious.
Analysis: We believe the Dolphins were just taking in easy with Ajayi, who has been dealing with some soreness. He's fully expected to play in Week 3.
|Sep. 17, 2017 4:11 PM PT5:11 PM MT6:11 PM CT7:11 PM ET23:11 GMT7:11 4:11 PM MST6:11 PM EST6:11 PM CT3:11 UAE (+1)19:11 ETNaN: - Jay Ajayi ran for 122 yards on 28 carries Sunday in the Miami Dolphins' 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He added two receptions for four yards.
Analysis: Ajayi ran hard and often in an excellent season debut that had to please his owners even if he didn't find the end zone. Averaging more than 21 carries over his last 12 games dating back to last season, he should be locked in as an every-week RB1 as the featured player in the Dolphins' offense.
|Sep. 14, 2017 12:34 PM PT1:34 PM MT2:34 PM CT3:34 PM ET19:34 GMT3:34 12:34 PM MST2:34 PM EST2:34 PM CT23:34 UAE15:34 ETNaN: - Ajayi (knee) was a surprise addition to the injury report earlier this week despite practicing in full but was removed from it on Friday.
Analysis: Ajayi has a sore knee, according to coach Adam Gase, but it's "not a big issue." Still, this has to be a slight concern if it's a lingering problem for a player which many believed would be one of fantasy's top RBs in 2017.
|Aug. 13, 2017 11:08 AM PT12:08 PM MT1:08 PM CT2:08 PM ET18:08 GMT2:08 11:08 AM MST1:08 PM EST1:08 PM CT22:08 UAE14:08 ETNaN: - Ajayi has joined team drills for the first time since he was sidelined by a concussion July 31.
Analysis: Ajayi wore pads Sunday for the first time since the injury, but left practice early because of hydration issues in the 90-degree morning sunshine. Coach Adam Gase said the issue was merely a matter of Ajayi regaining his conditioning. Ajayi had a breakout season in 2016, when he ran for 1,272 yards and had consecutive 200-yard games.
|Aug. 2, 2017 7:31 AM PT8:31 AM MT9:31 AM CT10:31 AM ET14:31 GMT22:31 7:31 AM MST9:31 AM EST9:31 AM CT18:31 UAE10:31 ETNaN: - The Dolphins confirmed Ajayi has been diagnosed with a concussion.
Analysis: Ajayi was hit hard during Monday's full-contact practice and was escorted off the field. He was ruled out of Wednesday's practice, and the Miami Herald reported he will miss at least a week of drills. This could limit his playing time in the preseason.
